So, with the gigs all shut down and the dance classes all cancelled, like many of my companions I needed to keep creatively busy and the Lockdown of 2020 provided the perfect space to make another in my series of albums based on loops made on the spot playing for class at Trinity Laban which I've taken home, refined, added to and generally beefed up. The five song 'Lockdown Dub' suite has a feeling for me all of its own, reflecting the tranquility of those quiet months when all you could do was chill out and create....and the final track is a another Laban loop repurposed but this one led me to jam a tribute to one of my long time heroes, Hamilton Bohannon, who sadly died while I was recording these tunes.....once again, thanks to all the inspiring teachers and dancers who egg me on every week (in normal times!) and also to my family for all the encouragement and support....feel free to use for class, and get in touch if you fancy using for a piece/film whatever.
